Korea Orders

What Korean brides order from VI Dressmakers

Vi works with brides ordering into Korea from Ho Chi Minh City. Most begin on WhatsApp or the inspiration form: wedding date, delivery city, dress references, and the fit or fabric points that matter.

The dress is made in Ho Chi Minh City. Once deposit and measurements are confirmed, atelier production usually takes 8–12 weeks. A simpler fabric direction can move faster, as Mina’s taffeta ballgown did, but that pace is not the standard for lace or heavy embellishment.

Reviewed by Vi first

Silhouette, fabric direction, structure, fit concerns, timeline, and Korea delivery city are reviewed before a quote is issued.

Written quote before deposit

The production deposit is requested only after the dress direction is confirmed in writing, with scope, payment milestones, and official payment instructions included.

Measurements

Measurements can be confirmed three ways: a live WhatsApp video call with Vi, a local tailor or helper who sends numbers for Vi's review, or an in-person appointment at Vi's private studio in Ho Chi Minh City. Fabric is not cut until measurements are confirmed.

QC before final balance

Final QC photos or video are shared before final balance and dispatch. You review the finished gown on the stand before payment is requested.

Cases

Korea bridal case

Mina wanted a simple, elegant, princess-like ballgown in white premium wrinkle taffeta. The brief stayed a direction, not a one-to-one copy, and the gown was delivered in Korea before her October wedding.

How ordering works

How ordering from Korea works

Korea orders follow the same written process. Carrier and transit are confirmed per order, using the documented Mina delivery as context rather than a fixed courier promise.

  1. 01

    Inquiry

Share your wedding date, delivery city and country, inspiration, and dress direction. Vi replies to all inquiries within 24 hours on WhatsApp. No payment is required to start the conversation.

  2. 02

    Consultation & Quote

Vi reviews your style, fit concerns, and timeline, then sends a written quote with design direction, payment milestones, and what is included.

  3. 03

  4. 04

    Atelier Production

Your gown moves into production, with updates on structure, fabric, lace or beading, and finishing where applicable. Production takes a minimum of 6 weeks; most orders take 8–12 weeks depending on complexity.

  5. 05

    Final QC Review

Final QC photos or video are shared before final balance and dispatch.

  6. 06

    Shipping to Korea

Carrier, cost, and timing are confirmed in writing before dispatch. Mina’s gown shipped on 13 June 2026 and was delivered in Korea on 22 June 2026. That route is one documented order, not a standing courier window.

What to plan for

Documented delivery Mina ordered on 30 April 2026. The gown shipped on 13 June and arrived in Korea on 22 June, before a 1 October wedding. One order, not a guaranteed transit time.
When to start Start at least 3 months before the wedding; 4+ months is safer for lace, beading, heavy embellishment, long trains, or complex silhouettes.
Shipping cost Shipping cost is confirmed in writing before dispatch. It covers door-to-door delivery to Korea — courier transit and import handling included. No additional charges on arrival.
After delivery Allow time for try-on and small local alterations after the dress arrives. Vi shares tracking once the courier confirms dispatch.

Mina’s taffeta ballgown moved faster than the usual 8–12 atelier weeks. A cleaner fabric direction should not be treated as the Korea standard.

Mina’s case is the public Korea proof: a Pinterest princess direction, remote review of skirt volume and taffeta body, final QC, then delivery with time before the wedding.

Korea Orders

Who this fits

  • Korean brides who want the dress direction reviewed before any payment
  • Brides with a princess or ballgown reference and a clear fabric preference
  • Brides comfortable with remote measurements and written checkpoints
  • Brides who need the gown in hand with time for try-on before the wedding

Remote and in-person support

What the process can and cannot cover

Ordering into Korea works when fabric direction, measurements, and the delivery city are clear before production starts.

What the process supports

  • Reviewing dress direction before production
  • Guided measurement checklist and recheck before cutting
  • Private studio consultation in Ho Chi Minh City by appointment
  • Production check-ins as needed for structure, lace, or finishing
  • Final QC photos or video before final balance
  • Tracked international shipping where available

Fit risks and local alteration

  • That measurements remove every fit risk
  • That no local alterations will be needed after delivery
  • Exact courier delivery windows after dispatch
  • That one documented Korea shipment sets the transit time for every future order

Vi flags fit risks early and designs with post-delivery alteration in mind where relevant. If small changes are needed after delivery, send try-on photos or a short video before visiting a local tailor so Vi can point out what to discuss.

Questions

Questions Korean brides ask first

Do I need to visit Vietnam to order?

No. Korean brides can work with Vi remotely from inquiry through to shipping. Brides visiting Ho Chi Minh City can book an appointment at Vi's private studio — measurements, fabric samples, and design consultation in one visit. Finished work from previous orders can be seen on request. By appointment only. After production, brides can book an appointment to try on and collect the finished dress in Ho Chi Minh City.

How long does shipping from Vietnam to Korea take?

There is no standing courier window for Korea on this page. Mina’s gown shipped from Vietnam on 13 June 2026 and was delivered in Korea on 22 June 2026. Carrier, cost, and timing are confirmed in writing before dispatch. Allow time after delivery for try-on and small local alterations.

What customs charges should I expect in Korea?

Shipping is arranged door-to-door. The confirmed shipping cost covers courier transit, import handling, and delivery to your address. No additional charges on arrival.

Can Vi work from a Pinterest ballgown reference?

Yes. Inspiration images guide the direction. They are not copied exactly. Mina’s case used a Pinterest princess reference, then confirmed white premium wrinkle taffeta, skirt volume, and a clean finish before production moved forward.

How Vi reads saved dress photos before quoting

What is the time difference between Vietnam and Korea?

Vietnam is UTC+7. Korea is UTC+9, two hours ahead. Most WhatsApp communication is handled within 24–48 hours. Vi typically replies within one working day.

When should I start my order?

Korean brides should start at least 3 months before the wedding. That covers consultation and measurement confirmation, 8–12 atelier weeks of production, shipping, and a buffer for local alterations. Mina’s taffeta ballgown moved faster, from a 30 April 2026 order to a 22 June 2026 delivery, but a cleaner fabric direction should not be treated as the standard. For lace, beading, heavy embellishment, or complex silhouettes, 4+ months is safer.
