A custom wedding dress is shipped from Vietnam only after final QC is reviewed and final balance is settled for a shipped order. VI Dressmakers uses a logistics partner to confirm the carrier route, cost, tracking handover, and delivery buffer.
A finished wedding dress is not shipped like a small fashion parcel. The box is larger, the fabric needs protection, and the bride still needs time to try the dress on after delivery.
At VI Dressmakers, shipping is planned after the dress direction, measurements, production timeline, final QC, and delivery country are clear. I want the bride to understand the shipping cost and delivery window before dispatch, not after the package has already left Vietnam.
This guide explains how VI Dressmakers arranges shipping, how fees are calculated, what door-to-door means, how long delivery can take, and why local alterations should still be part of the plan.
Public shipping proof should be redacted before publishing. Private order records can contain more detail than the website shows.
How shipping works
VI Dressmakers works with a logistics partner for international wedding dress shipping. The carrier used depends on the delivery country, city, parcel size, and timing after the dress is finished.
The shipping step comes after final QC. Before dispatch, the bride receives photos or video of the finished dress for review. For shipped orders, final balance is requested after that QC review and before the parcel leaves Vietnam.
Shipping is planned as part of the order timeline, not treated as a separate afterthought. A calm plan includes consultation time, atelier production, final QC, courier transit, try-on after delivery, and possible local alterations.
Send the delivery city and country so Vi can review shipping timing while checking the dress brief.
Final QC photos or video are shared before final balance and shipping.
The dress is packed, handed to the logistics partner, and tracked once the carrier confirms movement.

Carriers
For international wedding dress shipments, VI Dressmakers commonly plans around DHL, FedEx, or Australia Post international air, depending on the delivery country and available route. Australia may use DHL, FedEx, or Australia Post international air. USA and Canada shipments usually use FedEx or DHL. UK shipments are usually planned around DHL.
The carrier is confirmed close to dispatch because the practical choice can depend on parcel dimensions, route availability, handover timing, and the delivery address. The important point for the bride is not the carrier name alone; it is the written shipping cost, tracking handover, and enough time after delivery to try the dress on.

These are planning windows from dispatch, not production timelines. They start after the dress is finished, final QC has been reviewed, final balance is completed for a shipped order, and the parcel is handed to the courier.

Regional addresses, courier routing, holidays, weather, and final-mile delivery can add time. Do not plan the wedding week around the fastest possible courier result.
Door to door
For shipped gown orders handled door-to-door, the confirmed shipping cost covers courier transit, import handling, and delivery to the address shown in the quote. No additional charges are collected on arrival.
This is why the delivery city and country matter during consultation. Vi needs the actual destination context before confirming the shipping plan and timeline.
If the delivery address changes after the quote, tell Vi before dispatch. Once a package is already in transit, address changes may not be possible.
Packaging and tracking
A finished gown is packed in a protective garment bag inside a rigid shipping box. The goal is to protect fabric, train, structure, and embellishment while keeping the parcel suitable for courier handling.
Tracking is shared privately with the bride after the courier confirms dispatch. Public case pages may show redacted proof, but private tracking numbers, addresses, barcodes, and labels should not be published.

Delays and alterations
If tracking slows or a package is delayed, Vi checks the private tracking record and follows up through the logistics partner where possible. Some delays are outside the atelier’s control, which is why the order timeline should include a buffer after dispatch.
After delivery, try the dress on early. Remote measurement review helps reduce fit risk, but it cannot remove every fit risk. Hem, bust, waist, strap, bustle, or comfort adjustments may still need a local tailor.
If something feels off after delivery, send try-on photos or a short video before visiting a tailor. Vi can point out what to discuss so the local alteration appointment is more focused.
