Krystal’s
Draped Mikado.

Krystal came to us from the USA with a Le Spose di Giò dress as inspiration, looking for a custom version with Mikado silk bands, sheer tulle draping, a tiered skirt, and a buttoned back. We made it in Vietnam, reviewed it with her on video, then shipped it to the USA.

Bride Vision

She already had the dress in mind.

On 8 April 2026 Krystal wrote from the USA: could we make a custom dress from her photos? The photos were of a draped look in the direction of a Le Spose di Giò Spring 2026 gown. We used them as a brief and made a VI Dressmakers custom dress — not the designer original.

The hard part was the top. It had to look sheer like the reference, without going too thin at the waist and hip. The Mikado bands had to stay crisp against the tulle tiers.

”I want to ask about a custom dress if it would be possible.”

Design Direction

One sketch. Fabric confirmed before we ordered.

The first message already had two dress photos. That was enough for one working sketch: sleeveless illusion neckline, a band at the bodice, drape at the waist, buttons and a keyhole at the back, tulle and Mikado tiers on the skirt. Krystal asked for Mikado silk in the same chat. Vi confirmed it, then we ordered.
